MAIN DISCUSSION

Ratings were low last week! Is this episode going to bring new viewers in?

Is Ward really evil?

Who's Hydra?

S.H.I.E.L.D. is a terrorist organization?

Is Coulson controlled by Hydra?

Lots of answers, but is it too much talk?

Pretty sure Odyssey Protocol is a reference to Homer’s Odyssey..

I thought about this, too. But with Homer’s Odyssey, Odysseus was trying to get home after the Trojan war. Our gang on the Bus are running away from home at the beginning of the Hydra War. So I feel like they may be making the reference, but not using it quite right if they are.

I think about 10% of this podcast talked about the content of the episode.

Daniel didn’t get as excited as I thought he would with the sorta-reveal of Garrett already being a cyborg. I know he wanted him to be a good cyborg, but half aint bad! The way Garrett looked and talked to the guy that did the “Hail Hydra” salute early in the episode really has me questioning what his motives… I mean its obvious he doesn’t really believe in their cause, so I’m thinking he has some other motivations that we don’t know about. He could very well be dying and therefore needs the GH drug, but I’m hoping theres more to it than that.

I wasn’t really put off by the “talk”, I sorta think its necessary after the events of TWS and last weeks episode. I expect even more when we see Maria Hill in a few episodes.

Thanks for the no prize! haha that made my morning!

I think my excitement is tempered by the fact he’s not a good cyborg! Or at least make him a grey cyborg. But he is a really evil John Conner needs to catch him cyborg!

I was wondering what happened to the bodies of the two guards and Hand. Then on second watch of the episode, I noticed three bodies in Garrett’s Cuban lair. When Garrett gives Raina the tour he uncovers one of the bodies who looks like the bald agent Ward shot in the forehead. The experimented body even had a scar in the forehead where the bullet wound was. I’m thinking based on Raina’s future research she will find a way to resurrect Hand. “Chew on that for a minute.”

That would make my prediction correct, in a cheap, comic book resurrection sense, or as Obi wan would equivocate, ” from a certain point of view.”

A not-necessarily-family safe review of the episode on i09 that says, in effect, the more AOS “tortures” the characters, the more watchable it becomes, declaring that it is becoming more like a Joss Whedon show. I actually enjoyed the respite and opportunity for character development and exploration after the super-heavy action episode of the previous week.

    Hey guys,

this podcast episode isn’t showing up on “Podcast”, only on “Home”. Cause I bookmarked the former, I was wondering why you haven’t made the episode yet … until now. Could you please make the future ones show up on “Podcast”, too? Cause it’s better sorted (and thus better suited) for people like me who are not interested in the additional stuff like comic reviews.
    Thanks in advance. 🙂
