Original Sin #4 (Comic Files)

June 24, 2014 by Daniel Butcher Leave a Comment

Original Sin 4

Preamble

It has been a really really hard two weeks waiting for Original Sin #4. Let us just say what happened at the end of the last issue will blow the mind of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans, though at the time I made a solid prediction of what is going to happen next, in my mind. And no, I am still not telling you how that issue ended.

Situation Report

Nick Fury’s agents seeking the Watcher’s assassin on the moon, underground and in another dimension all are coming to the same conclusion. There is a very efficient killer on the loose. And they have all been lied to. All three groups are led to one place, a satellite hovering above the globe where secrets will be revealed.

Level Seven Analysis

Here is the deal, I really want to tell you what I saw. But I cannot do it. It is so spolierish and awesome. Yes, if you are reading this mini-series I do feel like you might have predicted where we were going. But just seeing it and seeing how it has been expanded beyond just what you were guessing at is so fun. And I hope it sticks, I think I said this last issue! I feel like what has been done here can really tie-in with other Marvel history. And I can even see how this current story could be linked to another older story like Nick Fury vs. S.H.I.E.L.D.. Perhaps at that point Fury had some realizations for the future and began to make his plans.

And I cannot get the final image out of my mind! I love this Mike Deodato image. And if it sticks, game changer my friends, game changer!

I felt like issue four could be summed up as the following. Hey Davy, someone is killing a lot of things and lying to us. You know George there is some kind of signal, let’s follow it find the liar. Hey there a bunch of us here now. Let’s be mad at each other. And look big reveal. So yeah, it’s pretty simple story framework. And I predicted, in my mind, part of the big reveal (though far from all of it).  Sadly I did not write it there with a nail!

Again, I think the final frame is a big deal. I want to know Nick Fury junior’s feelings about it. Because it really does reshape S.H.I.E.L.D. history, if it sticks!

Conclusion

Boom….Mind Blown!

Smile!
